A sold-out house and preliminary games at the 20th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel (01/14/2023) - After four exciting games, players and sponsors traditionally ended the first day at the Kitzbühel Country Club with a dinner and live music. The Country Club, just a few meters from the venue, has been inviting guests to this welcome party in an exclusive atmosphere for several years.

In bright sunshine, Team Engel & Völkers and Team Bentley, both of whom lost their games on Day 1, opened the second day of the 20th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup. The only woman in the tournament, Melissa Ganzi, led her team with a hat trick to a 7 to 4 ½ victory against Brazilian team Engel & Völkers.

Over 2,500 spectators watched the second semi-final of the Kitzbühel Cup between the teams Bodvar and Veuve Clicquot. Patrick Maleitzke’s team Bodvar was disappointed yesterday after an unfortunate defeat in the last second and wanted to do better today. With Henrik Deistler and Clemente Delfosse, the pink team managed an 8 to 4 ½ victory.

The Austrian Matthias Normann qualified as the first team for tomorrow's final with Micky Duggan and Martin Juaregui. Team Intocast defeated Peter Cromm's Team World Polo League 9 to 4 ½. In tomorrow's final, Matthias Norman must now compete against the team of title sponsor Bendura Bank. Philipp de Groot, Adrian Laplacette and Tito Gaudenzi defeated Team Mackage 6-4 in the final game of the day to advance to the final, which takes place tomorrow at 2.15pm.

These are the pairings for tomorrow Sunday:

10.30 am – Bodvar Rose Cup: Team Engel & Völkers vs. Team Veuve Clicquot
