18th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel 2020

Kitzbühel, 8th January 2020. With only a week to go until the Austrian excitement begins in the heart of the alpine sport mecca, Kitzbühel, the scene is set for what is set to be the best Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel the region has ever seen.

 On Thursday 16th January, the world’s press will turn their attention to the glamorous alpine village of Kitzbühel, as eight teams of some of the polo world’s most well known stars will be presented in front of the Hotel Zur Tenne, ready to take to the snow for The 18th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup. This year is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with more teams, more players and more pomp, ready to shake Kitzbühel to its very core in excitement.

The glasses are gleaming, the champagne on ice and what’s more it seems the weather gods have got polo in their hearts and minds this January, with glorious sunshine forecast for the entirety of the weekend, providing the perfect setting for this exciting tournament.

 Play will get underway on Friday 17th January at 10.30am with all eight teams ready and raring for the off. Each day will see four action-packed matches, best enjoyed from the luxurious VIP tent on the sidelines, combining the best elements of polo in perfect harmony – memorable action and sumptuous surroundings. Each day will be topped off with a social extravaganza, the pinnacle of which, the ‘Polo Players Night’ on Saturday 18th January, will see the VIP tent transformed into a Tirolean wonderland, with all guests encouraged to sport their finest traditional dress.

 Once again, this year will see a host of renowned and faithful sponsors, with head sponsor Bendura Bank leading the charge. They are joined by long-time sponsors Bernd Gruber, Engel & Völkers and Corum, as well as new additions for 2020 La Martina, GP Mobility, Laurent-Perrier, Intocast and high goal maestros, the World Polo League.
